WEEZER’S VOYAGE TO THE BLUE PLANET TOUR – FULL CONCERT – ORLANDO, FL – KIA CENTER – 9/20/24
Yesterday, I’ve experienced my first indoor concert in The Kia Center at Orlando, Florida.
Also, I’m a huge fan of Weezer throughout my teenage years in high school.
As since it’s been 30 years, that they’ve been performing for many hits throughout their career.
They started a tour that is dedicated to their first iconic album: The Blue Album.
With special guest appearances by The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr.
Which I’ve decided to record the majority of my favorite parts from the concerts
But personally for me.
This feels like a full circle story personally to me.
For someone who religiously listens to the blue album non-stop.
Not only, I arguably say it’s still the best album from Weezer.
I find all of the songs personally relatable to me.
Especially for skinny nerdy virgins like myself.
Since clearly, I perfectly represent their target audience.
But however, just seeing Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Brian Bell, and Scott Shriner all up on stage.
It doesn’t feel like a fever dream anymore. IT’S REAL!
Just singing out all of my favorite songs out loud made it so satisfying for me.
Surprisingly, the other audience members were very nice.
But also don’t mind hearing me singing the songs out loud.
As some other Weezer fans were singing along in the crowd too.
Either way, just seeing them perform live in their space inspired stage was awesome.
Also hearing them singing their iconic songs from Buddy Holly, Say It Ain’t So, My Name Is Jones, In The Garage, Holiday, etc.
This has been a long time dream come true.
So in other words, for my first ever indoors concert experience.
Clearly it’s been one of the best days of the year.
All because, I went to a concert of one of my favorite bands of all time.
Plus, the fact that Weezer is still performing these songs for 30 years together by now.
I have nothing, but respect to the band.
Also, shout-outs to The Flaming Lips on their prologue show.
Which was also awesome to hear their iconic songs live.
With two of my personal favorite songs, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, and Do You Realize?
Overall, it makes me feel more proud to be a Weezer fan.
To embrace my inner music/rock fanboy mode.
And I guess, I can say… “I GOT WEEZERED!”🤘🎸🔥
